t is the same exact fight as the one you did in level 20 except this time the scale is switched to level 50 and you will have a full party (8 man) instead of a light party (4 man)
The basics:
health 100%-85% - pretty much boss will use flame wave in front of him, knock back swipe (melees) and cleave on tanks for heavy damange.
health 75-84% - boss will use eruption as additional skill (spawn crack on the ground and blast entire area for extreme large amount of damange) boss will also use clones x1 that charges at random party member.
health 51-74% - boss will have 2 clones instead of one and radiant blast is added to boss's skill bar (multiple blast orange circles on the ground)
health 50% - boss will spawn 4 nails at squared location. (you have exactly 1 minute to destory it before you wipe)
below 50% - boss will cast eruption more often and radiant blast circle is significantly increased. The charging clone increased to 3.

Hard Mode Strats and roles:
Tanks: *Main tank - (any) often rotate defensive cool downs as needed due to Ifrit can hit very hard. (Just hold aggro next to wall and afk tanking / boss must face away from the raid.)
*Off tank - paladin is STRONGLY recommanded for this fight. Use shield bash on eruption to interrupt. Spirit Within ability can sometimes stop radiant from going off.
DPS: *Besides dodging radiant and charges. You must save big dps cool downs on nails! All 4 nails MUST be destroyed when it spawn. If any of them goes off the entire raid party take 15,000 damange. Other than that survival is more important than dps. *If you are black mage or summoner YOU MUST USE METOR (Limit Break) on the nail phase.
Healer: *keep tank alive and don't run out of mana early. Healing will be intensive after the nail is destoryed. Use Limit Break at last phase if needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Save LB for BLM,SMN during the nail phase and you will have 1 more LB after the nail phase which is intended for healers. (or you can take risk for dps to use it on the boss but it is not recommanded)
Interrupts - after boss use charge ability AND after he use the knock back swipe. Be prepare to interrupt eruption.
